I thought that I was in a book-bouncing phase....I read Hammered by Elizabeth Bear but then had no desire to read Scardown or Worldwired. [I am only now to the point where I think I can try to read her books objectively.]

I tried reading Nancy Farmer's The Ear, the Eye, and the Arm for beer_marmalade and for some reason, I just can't keep going - I really dislike it and I don't know why.

But on Wednesday I breezed through Sherman Alexie's The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian, and now I am 100 pages into Kushiel's Dart which I like a lot, but is quickly becoming a "don't read on the bus" book.

I watched the movie "Heathers" last night and I don't have much to say about it except that I loved it a lot. I think Winona Ryder is one of my favorite actresses.

Lastly, I went to request some Buffy DVDs from the public library and was pleasantly surprised to see how many people currently have discs checked out or requested. Buffy lives!

It's a bit remarkable to me how swiftly my rewatches are going. I think that Buffy is a really emotional show, and my first time through, I was really taking my time to let everything sink in. (Well, that plus finishing college, etc.)

I really liked 14/22 of Season Three's episodes. Unfortunately for Season Four, the number is 6 out of 22, and "Goodbye Iowa" is incredibly iffy.

During my original run through the show, I felt that I liked Season Four the least. I think that now, I appreciate One less than Four, as the characters are less developed.

Honestly not surprised or that disappointed, to be honest. Season four was depressingly bad and lacking in good plots. Hope Dexter Fletcher gets a new tv gig soon though, I'll miss seeing him regularly on my computer screen on the tv now. :/

I think that this smattering gives you a good idea of the breadth of genres that anime has. It also shows you that I mostly like ridiculous things.

I keep starting to write blog posts and then deleting them because I realize that I have nothing to say.

I'm thinking a lot.

I've started my re-watch of Buffy, Season 4.

I accidentally left the Robotech DVD in my parents' DVD player, so hopefully it makes it back here without incident.

I'm also reading Crown Duel by Sherwood Smith AND I LOVE IT. It's going to be quite difficult to force myself to continue to read only book club books or my personal backlog instead of tracking down everything Smith's ever written.
